My i-glasses do not power On.
All current* i-glasses models require a 9v 800mu power supply that was
included with your purchase of this product. Alternatively, you may opt to use
our portable, Lithium Polymer battery** (#501739),
which is available as an accessory and may be purchased from you local i-glasses
dealer or directly from the manufacturer.
Please make sure that the power supply is fully inserted into a functional
electrical outlet. Also make sure that the barrel plug on the power supply is
firmly seated into the power jack located at the end of the i-glasses cable. For
a diagram of the i-glasses cable and power connections, please refer to the
QuickStart card included with your shipment of this product.
Finally, make sure that the i-glasses custom cable is fully seated into the
plug located above the left-eye piece of the i-glasses***. This connection
should actually be quite snug. Unplug the cable from the i-glasses and check to
make sure that all connector pins are straight and undamaged.
After ensuring proper connections, press and release the power button located
on the top, right-hand side of your i-glasses. The LED power indicator light
located next to the power button should illuminate. If the LED power indicator
light still does not illuminate, and there is no power to the i-glasses, please
visit our Service
Page for return and repair instructions.
*Legacy (Pre-2003) i-glasses models including i-glasses VIO, i-glasses,
i-glasses X2, i-glasses LC and i-glasses LCB require a 6v power adaptor. All
power adaptors included with any of the above models will NOT work with any
i-glasses HRV or i-glasses SVGA models. If you own both, legacy i-glasses models
as well as i-glasses HRV or SVGA, please make sure you are using the correct
power adaptor.
**The portable battery for legacy (Pre-2003) i-glasses such as i-glasses VIO,
i-glasses, i-glasses X2, i-glasses LC and i-glasses LCB models is different than
the portable battery required for i-glasses HRV and SVGA models due to differing
power requirements. Please make sure you are using the portable battery designed
for your model of i-glasses. See your dealer or contact the manufacturer to
purchase portable batteries and battery chargers for your i-glasses.
***As the i-glasses product line has evolved over the past decade, a variety
of changes have been made to the i-glasses cabling. Please confirm that you are
using the correct cable(s) shipped with your i-glasses model. (See Chart below)

I cannot focus my i-glasses.
All i-glasses models are designed using “fixed optics” with a focal point of 13
feet. All current and legacy i-glasses models are also designed to be worn with
corrective glasses, if needed. If you would normally need to use your
prescription lenses while watching TV from across the room, for example, you
will probably need to wear your corrective glasses while using this product.
The i-glasses are ON but there is no picture on the screen.
Please make sure that the cabling has been installed correctly. For all
video versions of this product, make sure that the i-glasses cable is connected
to the “VIDEO OUT” plugs of the source. Also, make sure that the source device (DVD,
VCR, etc) you are using is actually playing the video.
Please Note: Some i-glasses models search for either a video or VGA source
input signal immediately upon being turned on. If they do not immediately detect
this signal, the i-glasses will go into a “standby mode” and only a blue image
will appear on the screen. The solution is to turn ON the source input and begin
playing the movie and then power ON the i-glasses.
I have a picture but no audio.
All i-glasses models and cables have audio capability via industry standard
Red/White (Left/Right) RCA jacks found on the cables. Both the Red and White
jacks need to be connected to the source device's “Audio Out” connections in
order to receive sound in both speakers on the i-glasses. Some source devices (DVD,
VCR, Laptop, etc) may require the use of stereo “mini-jack” connections rather
than Red/White RCA jacks for audio output. If this is the case, you will need to
obtain an “RCA-to-Stereo Mini-Jack” adaptor. This is a common adaptor that may
be found in most all consumer electronic retail stores.
Once you are connected to the source device correctly, please note that there
are volume controls located on the source device (DVD, VCR, PC, Laptop, etc) as
well as on the i-glasses. It may be necessary to turn up the volume on BOTH
devices in order to hear sound through the i-glasses speakers.
Finally, when accessing the on-screen display menu, the audio capability on
the i-glasses is disabled. Once the on-screen display menu is deactivated, audio
will return to the i-glasses speakers.
What is the main difference between "legacy" and currently available?
The main difference between older “legacy” i-glasses and the current lineup
of i-glasses VIDEO and PC models is resolution. Older i-glasses have 225 x 266
lines of resolution and approximately 180,000 pixels per display. While fine for
video applications, this in not high enough resolution for use with computers.
The all new i-glasses VIDEO and PC feature true, 800 x 600 lines of resolution
and 1.44 million pixels per display. This dramatic leap in resolution quality
results in fantastic image clarity with either video or VGA input.
